I graduated from Siena Heights in 2011 with a degree in education for English and special education. My career at Bedford started in 2012 at the junior high. I've spent the last two years at the high school before returning to the JHS. During that time, I have coached the junior high girls track team, the 6th grade boys cross country team, and junior high girls cross country team. I am the proud father of two children, ages four and two.
I believe that the role of a teacher is to provide as many opportunities as possible for each student to be successful in life outside of the classroom. Students should be responsible for choosing how to use those opportunities as they see fit, but I never want students to leave my classroom feeling that they are unable to pursue their desired profession because they lack the necessary skills. I want each student to leave my class confident that they can fluently read and write and express their ideas clearly and concisely.
